Crystal Whaley

Crystal (she/her) is a multiple EMMY Award-winning creative producer, writer, and director with over 20 years of experience. She has developed and produced content across platforms including Netflix, Showtime, TLC, Discovery+, MSNBC, and Frontline/PBS. Her work consistently centers underrepresented voices and explores complex narratives with emotional depth and cultural resonance.

As a visual storyteller, cultural curator, and activist, Crystal is deeply committed to amplifying the stories of Black women and girls across mediums. some of her producing & directing credits include FRONTLINE's Un(re)solved (News & Doc Emmy), MSNBC/Peacock's Model America, and Netflix's Ladies First: A Story of Women in Hip-Hop, as well as writing and directing, 'the sound she saw' the first feature documentary of Black women photographers.
