Documenting Michelle Parkerson: A Two-Night Event

Friday, February 21 7 PM- 7 PM

Billy Wilder Theater at the Hammer Museum

10899 Wilshire Boulevard

Los Angeles, CA, 90024

Michelle Parkerson is a writer, performance artist and filmmaker with a career that spans five decades. When one immerses themself in Parkerson’s work, there is a sense of freedom and an unapologetic pursuit of ideas by a careful hand. One also wonders “what would the landscape of American film look like if voices like hers were supported when they deserved to be?” in the words of cultural critic Angelica Jade Bastien.
